It is with an equal mixture of excitement and sadness that I write this: Kim and I are moving to Belgium at the end of July. Kim had the opportunity to take over the college counseling program at an independent school in Antwerp, and we decided that this was our last best chance to live abroad, so we had to take it.
I’ve been extremely lucky to be a part of the YSCF community. You guys are a wonderful group, and the only regret I have in leaving Denver is that I won’t be able to be directly involved in the day-to-day awesomeness that happens at the gym.
Thank you to Brad, Jason, Michelle, and Jen for inviting me into this great place. Thank you to all you YSCF members for making me feel at home and for usually listening when I tell you to squat deeper. Thanks to the evening crew for broadening my musical horizons (So much Whitney Houston), and to the morning crew for putting up with my over-caffeinatedness at 5 a.m.
I’m incredibly excited to go on this new adventure of living abroad, and terribly sad to be leaving the great community here. I’m looking forward to the next few weeks of coaching, sweating, and having a great time with all of you.
This isn’t “goodbye” — it’s “see you later!”
